Sand happens..don't let it make you crusty.
The power of gratitude
Some people stop and smell the roses, while others need to cultivate that sense of appreciation. Jot down three positive experiences on a daily basis and you will train your brain to be more positive. Read about the benefits of keeping a Gratitude Journal here. Sarah gave me this journal which I use at my bedside each morning.
While we wait for cable shows to come back this September, Amazon has some fun shows to binge. Thank you Heidi for telling me about Red Oaks! Jennifer Grey is outstanding and brings along some Dirty Dancing nostalgia. I laugh out loud each time I watch an episode of Catastrophe (but don't let your kids hear it).
I've been a hot mess this August. After Lyme Disease, poison ivy and the beach, I could be Tom's understudy in Cast Away. Thanks to my girl friends, I have been able to try out some new items to help me refresh.
My college friend Keri, recommended this exfoliant and it makes me feel like I have the skin from my 30's...or at least before I had teenagers.
I have a fear of looking like a bearded lady in my later years so I will take any recommendatons when it comes to facial hair. I'll protect the identities of my other furry friends who sent me this useful toy.
For our friend Chrissy's birthday, Sue arranged primping at Dry Bar and I purchased one of my favorite tools. Since I can't wash my hair daily, this terry-cloth lined shower cap keeps my curls happy.
Feeling like a beached Seal, I have tried to cut down on dairy this summer. My youngest sister Natalie introduced me to this yummy dairy-free yogurt alternative.
Hope some of these suggestions can help you-- let me know what you think!
xoxo,
Sami
