It is a daily struggle, but I am trying to shift my mindset so I see the JOY each day. I try to focus on new items to help spark joy and then share them. Hope your fall is off to a joyful start!
Last month I wrote about my gratitude journal, and this month I have added illustrated affirmations from my Elon sorority sister Heather Stillufsen. Opening my socials and finding her beautiful drawings is a great way to start my day!
Girl Wash Your Face! I became a devoted fan after listening to Rachel Hollis’s first podcast where she admitted to shaving her toes. She is like having my own brutally honest and funny life coach/cheerleader! Grateful that my friend Liz suggested I have her clean me up.-)
Two teenage boys and a husband who works out a lot means my laundry room works hard. On a girls trip many years ago, Noelle told me to keep a jar next to the washing machine and save any items I found in my son’s pockets. I follow a bunch of powerful women on instagram so my feed is positive and both Hello Sunshine and Living with Landyn (thx Leah) shared their big O keyrings. I am my mother’s daughter, so I often have an armful of bags, water bottles, etc when I head out the door. This key ring gives me another set of hands and who doesn’t love that?
When I use a ride app, which isn’t often, I want the cheapest/fastest option. Thank you Peter for teaching me about the Farewell App which compares rates and etas.
Finally, with extra joy, comes extra laughter and tears. Grateful to my friend Keri for suggesting I use Mac’s Extended Play Mascara and never worry about black eyes again.
